Fortified coastal settlement of the late classical and Hellenistic periods with unique view to the Ionian Sea and the beach Karavostasi, from the archaeological place.

This is a small castle on a small hill with conical shape which was built in the 16th century as an watchtower of the movements of the Turks in the region. It is located 9 km. northwest of the city of Igoumenitsa.

The Gitana was one of the most important political, administrative and economic centers of Thesprotia in ancient years. Ruins of the city are located on the nountainside of of Vrysella in a great by many aspects landscape, surrounded of the river Kalamas by most of its part,which contributed greatly to the economic independence of the city. The foundation of the city dates back to the second half of the 4th century. B.C., although the area was already inhabited since in the prehistoric times.

The archaeological site of ancient Nikopolis is the largest in size ancient city of Greece nowadays, with its Museum, the amazing mosaics of its Royal Byzantines temples, the Odeon, the king house, Theatre etc. The ancient Nicopolis built by the Romans in 27 B.C.

The Venetian castle of Parga is located on the hill above the town, with a magnificent view over the city, the beach Valtos and the Ionian Sea.

The Nekromanteio is a place, where according to ancient Greek mythology, Charon led the souls with his boat through the lake Acherousian, to the underworld.

Heroic and glorious village located 73 km from Igoumenitsa. It is known for the struggles of the inhabitants against the Turks but also for the sacrifice of the women of the village who jumped off the cliff with their children in order to escape from the Turks. Every year are events and representation of the blasting of the monastery Coogan from monk Samuel.
